Our clients wanted to update their space in order to spend more time outside and entertaining. A glazed extension is a great solution to this as it really opens up a space and lets the outdoors in.
They opted for bifold aluminium glazed doors, we think the choice of darker frames really lift the house.
We had a lot of fun crafting the seating area in hard wood, which was fabricated in our workshop. After a few coats of varnish to protect the wood from Cardiff weather, it was ready to be brought on site and finished with a sealant.
The shaker kitchen was also crafted in our workshop, the bespoke option meant that we could make the most of every nook & cranny of the extended space. The client opted for a dark grey/blue which we hand painted and a simple beading on the doors.
An area that needed some thought was the island as this is where our clients would be entertaining their guests. Dinner parties are better when everybody is together and situating the wine fridge in the island ensures that the guests never stray too far from the chef.
